Q: My xSystem isn’t priming

  1. Check the connection between the battery and the Unit, are they connected and is the connection tightened up properly?
  2. Can you hear or feel the pump pulsing?
  3. Remove the check valve and try again

Q: Oil is siphoning at the chain/sprocket after a longer period of time

  1. Is the check-valve in line, with the arrow pointing in the direction of flow?
  2. Is a lube tube or HCR being used and is it higher than the Unit?
    • Additional reservoirs must always be the same height or a little lower than the main reservoir, never higher
  3. Are there any air gaps in the tubing, suggesting an air leak?
  4. Is a Dual Injector being used and is it leaking out of one side only?

Q: No oil is being dispensed from the xSystem

  1. Does the xSystem Unit turn on ok, either manually or by switching on the engine?
  2. Is there oil in the reservoir ?
  3. Do the LEDs on the Unit light up top to bottom continuously when the system is being primed?
  4. Is the flow rate set to between 20-150 seconds?
  5. Can you feel or hear you pump pulsing when priming?
  6. Is there any oil flowing if you disconnect your check valve?
  7. Have you checked if the dispensing nib at your sprocket is blocked?

Q: My xSystem won’t turn on

  1. Are the battery connections properly attached directly to your battery?
  2. Is your fuse intact?

Q: My xSystem is dispensing too little oil

  1. Check dispenser tubing for kinks and restrictions and clear if necessary.
  2. Remove your check valve and see if the flow improves.
  3. Check that you are using the correct oil for the outside temperature.
    • Our ‘traditional’ blue oil is for average daily temperatures ranging from 0°C – 30°C, while our ‘high temperature’ red oil is designed for average daily temperatures between 20°C – 40°C

Q: My xSystem is dispensing too much oil

  1. Check that you are using the correct oil for the outside temperature.
    • Our ‘traditional’ blue oil is for average daily temperatures ranging from 0°C – 30°C, while our ‘high temperature’ red oil is designed for average daily temperatures between 20°C – 40°C
  2. Make sure you are using the correct flow rate
    • The top setting is one drop every 20 seconds and is the fastest with 3 drops per minute and
    • The bottom setting is one drop every 150 seconds and is the slowest, with one drop every 3 minutes.

Q: My xSystem has run dry

  1. Push the rubber bung at the top of the unit to the side, it should pop out easily this way, then fill the xSystem up. Replace the rubber bung
  2. Remove the check valve from the line and prime the xSystem again until there is oil coming out of the dispenser tube at the sprocket. Replace the check valve.

Q: My xSystem is leaking from the top

  1. The top of the xSystem also functions as a breather to allow air to enter as oil is pumped out. The xSystem must not be installed completely horizontal but needs to be at an angle.
  2. If necessary relocate your xSystem to a new position to allow for a more vertical installation.
